Howdy! My name is Alyssa Byrd.
With a B.S. in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University, I am passionate about all things manufacturing-related, consumer product development, industry safety, process improvement, aviation/aerospace, and the automotive industry. I bring hands-on experience in CNC machining, rapid prototyping, and product design optimization. At Gel Blaster, I developed new consumer product designs, participated in cost reduction initiatives, and helped ensure compliance with international and domestic consumer product standards. Previous internship roles at Textron Aviation and Bell Textron Inc. refined my skills in developing tooling solutions, process optimization, and non-conformance analysis.
Both art and engineering are of interest and importance to me, and I try my best to combine them with each other in any work I do. The concept of effective design spans across so many different fields!
On the artistic side, I am currently able to provide automotive event coverage or feature shoots, portrait sessions, and graphic design work. On the engineering side, I am able to help assist you or your company with consumer product development, 3D modeling, manufacturing consulting, and to provide fabrication / prototyping services.
